Growing up in northern Manitoba (Brochet/Lynn Lake), Indigenous recording artist Richard Farrow identified with country music at a young age. Blessed with an exceptional voice, at fifteen Farrow picked up a guitar, learned a few songs, wrote a few more and never looked back. The next couple of decades found Richard honing his craft - playing at bars, socials and weddings throughout the province and beyond.
Since those early days, Richard has developed into an accomplished artist who commands every stage he performs on and delivers each song with heartfelt authenticity. He has opened for many great Canadian artists such as Tom Cochran, 54/40 and The Sheepdogs. Richard has also been making inroads within the music industry, having been invited to perform at some of Canada's biggest country music festivals including 'Howl at the Moon', Dauphin's Countryfest and Nickel Days.
In June, 2017 Richard realized the dream of a lifetime and headed to BC to record his debut album "God Willin'" at the award-winning Studio Downe Under with CCMA 'Producer of the Year' Tom McKillip. The album was recognized with a 2018 Indigenous Music Award nomination for 'Best Country Album', and Richard has again been recently nominated for the Manitoba Country Music Association's 2019 NCI FM Indigenous Country Music Award.
Currently based out of Winnipeg,MB Richard is working on new music for his sophomore album...stay tuned 🎶
